TV One’s award-winning music documentary series Unsung continues this season with legendary 90’s R&B group Dru Hill.

The series celebrates the lives of trailblazing and influential artists, producers and musicians via first-hand stories from friends and family — as well as footage from past shows and interviews.

The season premiere will follow Dru Hill’s musical journey, dating back to their childhood in Baltimore where SisqoNokioJazz and Woody first met. Their debut album, featuring the smash hits “Tell Me,” “In My Bed,” “Never Make a Promise” and “Five Steps,” set them up for success.

Dru Hill parted ways from 1999-2002, during which Sisqo pursued a solo career with his albums Unleash the Dragon and Return of the Dragon. The group also faced a few challenges stemming from issues with their record label along with some internal drama, which resulted in two members leaving the group.

The episode airs on TV One Sunday, February 23 at 10 p.m. ET.  All four original members of Dru Hill will perform their classic hits in an intimate performance on Unsung Live, which will air immediately after the premiere.

This season will also feature singer/actor Christopher Williams, R&B legend Betty Wright, disco band Skyy, Grammy Award-winning artists Billy Paul and Al Jarreau, rap’s first lady MC, Roxanne Shante, Atlanta legends Goodie Mob and Shannon, known as the “Mother of Freestyle.”
