Elle Varner has gifted fans with a fresh new single titled  “Pour Me,” featuring Wale

Picking up where her breakout hit “Refill” left off, the nostalgic groove finds the singer reminiscing about a love lost. Varner’s voice dominates the track with a healthy dollop of the rasp that has become her signature.

“You could be gettin’ to know me/But I loved you as a homie/Now I’m cryin’ and sayin’, “Poor me!”/So pour me one more” she croons.

Speaking with RatedR&B last month, Varner revealed her new single was a “double entendre about being a ‘poor’ girl who’s lost the love she wants. So, ‘pour’ her another.”

“It has that ’90s feel. It has these hard drums and chords that are just so tickling. It’s me on a thousand,” she added.

In addition, the soul singer will be joining labelmate Marsha Ambrosius on the NYLA Tour where she will be making appearances on select dates, including stops in Los Angeles, Houston, New Orleans Chicago, Cleveland and more.
