For the most part, Rihanna has remained tight-lipped about the details surrounding her next album. However, Emeli Sandé has just confirmed that she has penned a few songs for the follow-up to 2012’s Unapologetic.
During an interview with Digital Spy, the singer-songwriter briefly mentioned the collaboration while revealing what she’s currently working on.
“There’s been a lot going on. I’ve been back in [the studio] with Naughty Boy, which has been amazing,” Sandé said at the U.K.’s Ivor Novello Awards on Thursday. “I’ve been writing for Rihanna’s new movie, which has been incredible. I was with Rodney Jerkins the other night.
Although she didn’t go into further detail, Emeli adds, “I feel now I’m back in creative mode.”
Rihana’s eighth studio effort is expected to arrive later this year. The set will serve as a conceptual project based around the upcoming 3D animated movie, Home.
