After releasing two full-length albums this year, Eric Bellinger is getting a head start on 2021.

The Grammy-winning singer/songwriter started the year with his Optimal Music collaboration with longtime producer Nieman J before releasing his 30th album and the third installment to his presidential series,  Eric B for President: Term 3 in October.

Bellinger tells ABC Audio his 31st album is “already finished” and will serve as a joint collaboration with Hitmaka — formerly known as artist Yung Berg — who has produced hit records for Lil Wayne, Jeremih, Ty Dolla $ign, Tamar Braxton, Big Sean, Tinashe, Chris Brown, Teyana Taylor and more.

Fans can expect the Hitmaka-collab as early as February, but Bellinger seems more excited for his “self-titled album” as project #32.

“You gotta understand I’m trying to level things up for this album,” he explains. “So I felt like if I wanted to do that, I have to actually take the best foot forward and work out whatever arrangements to travel to get in the rooms with the guys I look up to the most.”

Bellinger mentioned linking up with Sean Garrett and The Dream, who both participated in the only Verzuz “Battle of the Songwriters” in March.

He’s already been spotted in the studio with Grammy-winning producers and legendary hitmakers such as Brian Michael Cox, Jazze Pha, Jermaine Dupri, Troy Taylor and more recently with 112‘s Slim and Ne-Yo, according to Instagram.

“With having these greats and legends as the co-sign to this next album…it’s going to be an obvious thing on who…Eric Bellinger is.”
