Erykah Badu has offered up an apology to Iggy Azalea after publicly dissing her at the 2015 Soul Train Awards, where Badu declared Iggy’s music is “definitely not rap.” After the rapper resurfaced on Twitter last week and seemingly addressed Badu’s comment, Badu apparently had a change of heart.

“You know what I want to do this, for my daughters. I want to apologize to Iggy Azalea because she’s one of their favorite artists and they listen to her all the time,” Badu said in 30-second video, part of a Twitter Q&A Monday. “And it’s for them.”

Badu then joked about her daughter’s admiration for Azalea. “But when I really think about it, if y’all love her so much why don’t y’all be with her then? Go on be wit her y’all,” she said. “Go on Puma, go on Mars. Is Iggy Azalea going to miss the healing seminar to go up to school, sit across the teacher so she can tell you that all y’all been doing is talking to your neighbor, not getting your lesson? Is she? Where’s Iggy for that?”
