Sonja Flemming/CBSEve‘s first encounter with pop star Janet Jackson is one she’ll never forget.
Co-hosting a recent episode of The Talk, the ladies discussed the dangers of leaving your drink unattended.
During the segment, Eve recalled the time when she unknowingly drank a spiked drink and Jackson came to her rescue.
According to Eve, it all happened at an awards show after-party some years ago, when she started feeling “crazy” after drinking a beverage.
“I knew immediately something was different,” the rapper said. “It was weird because I was there, but I wasn’t there.”
Feeling something was terribly wrong, Eve was taken to a room by her friends where she started crying hysterically.
It was there that Jackson came to Eve’s aid to soothe her.
“I hear this really soft voice. I’m like snot crying, y’all. And I turn around it’s Janet Jackson,” Eve told her co-hosts. “And she’s like, ‘I got this. Don’t worry. Relax. Calm down.’”
Eve admits it was a humiliating experience to meet the iconic Jackson under such unexpected circumstances.
“I am so ugly when I snot cry,” she added. “I was so embarrassed!”
