Photo by Prince Williams/WireImageKeri Hilson has decided to take matters into her own hands after a misleading press release circulated earlier this week.

The singer took to Twitter to explain that she’s considering legal action against the individuals behind the false information.

“You know something? Over time, I’ve acquired the skill of not concerning myself with things I can’t control…..,” she tweeted, “but this morning I woke up pissed that someone is deliberately working against me AND taking advantage of the support from my fans. I will not stand for that.”

She continues: “My web & legal teams are investigating to find out who is responsible, and we are taking action. You don’t deserve to be duped like this.”

As previously reported, the singer was touted as preparing to release a new single, called “Again,” produced by Mike Will and co-written by Rock City, today, March 18.  The song was expected to be the first from her upcoming, third set,  L.I.A.R, an acronym for Love Is a Religion. But Keri said the press release was a fake, though “Again” is a song on L.I.A.R., she said.

The release date for her album has yet to be revealed.  It’ll be her first since 2010’s No Boys Allowed.
