Due to arrive later this year, the singer initially teased the forthcoming album was set to feature a star-studded roster of guest spots from the likes of Meghan TrainorT-Pain, Brandy and Jazmine Sullivan

While she’s made good on her promise to connect with T-Pain, for the sultry ballad “PTSD,” the Brandy and Jazmine collaboration is no more. In a new interview with Cheddar, Fantasia confirmed that the highly-anticipated cut had been scrapped from her new album.

“It was something that I really wanted to happen. Unfortunately, it did not go through but that is okay,” Fantasia revealed.  “There’s politics to this and when you’re doing something independent, and you’re stepping out against the grain, sometimes storms and tests will come. But, I’m used to the rain. So, I’m okay.”

So far, there’s no word on what track replaced the Brandy as Jazmine collab on the album.

Sketchbook serves as a follow up to Fantasia’s 2016 The Definition Of album and marks the singer’s first independent release. The song “Enough,” the first single from Sketchbook, currently sits at number two on Billboard‘s Adult R&B Songs chart.
