by

Epic /Kevin YoungThis was a great week for the rap game, with highly-anticipated new album and EP releases.

G Herbo gives us a glimpse into the streets of Chicago on PTSD. The album’s cover art features a re-stitched, bullet-riddled American flag with stars representative of his loved ones and who passed away.

“My statement is about PTSD and what everybody goes through in the hood you don’t hear about,” G Herbo said in a statement. “Even the toughest among us face it. This is my story.”

The PTSD title track brought together three of Chicago most influential voices: Herbo, Chance the Rapper, and the late Juice WRLD. Meanwhile, Herbo tapped the self proclaimed king of R&B, Jacquees, for “Shooter,” just for the ladies. He celebrated his album release kicking off his PTSD tour in Brooklyn.

Lil Baby says its My Turn on his sophomore album, featuring advance singles “Woah,” “Sum 2 Prove,” and “Catch the Sun” with guest appearances from Moneybagg YoLil Uzi Vert, and Quality Control label mate Gunna on “Heatin’ Up.” Lil Baby calls My Turn his “best work to date.”

On HIStory, Lost PagesYFN Lucci revisits his HIStory mixtape with a deluxe edition, featuring six new songs and features from Kevin GatesBandhunta IzzyTrouble and Lil Boosie, among others. The album will still feature the original 16 songs, including “Shake Sumn” with the City GirlsYo Gotti, and the Derez De’ Shon-assisted “Sacrifices & Pain.”

Producer Zaytoven recruited his team of ‘Lils’ for an Atlanta reunion for his A-Team project featuring Lil Keed, Lil Gotit and Lil Yachty. The album is full of high-energy, bass-heavy trap songs, reflective of Atlanta’s culture and music scene, complete with infectious flows and catchy hooks, where each rapper shines together or alone.
