Gabrielle Union defends husband Dwyane Wade for referring to his son Zion as a girl

by

ABC/Lorenzo BevilaquaGabrielle Union was in protective mommy mode this week after a fan questioned her hubby’s comment about their children.

In all started when Dwyane Wade shared a photo of Union, their daughter, Kaavia, and Wade’s son, Zion, on social media and labeled the image “My girls.”

After some fans questioned Wade’s choice of description, Union offered a quick comeback for those who couldn’t see beyond Wade’s loving comment.

“Looks like love to me, she responded. “I truly hope that everyone gets the love, support and hugs they deserve. Also Kaav ain’t with the dumb s***. Peace & Blessings good people.”

Although it’s not clear what life choices Zion may have made, both Wade and Union have been supportive along the way.  In an interview with Variety, Wade said his family was extremely supportive of Zion and whatever life he wants to lead.

“I don’t really talk about it much because it’s Zion’s story to tell,” Wade said. “I think as a family, we should support each other. That’s our job. And my job as a father is to facilitate their lives and to support them and be behind them in whatever they want to do.”
