Get ready to escape with Xscape on their first-ever headlining tour

by

DeWayne Rogers/Monami EntertainmentXscape is following up their first performance together in over 15 years at this year’s Essence festival with their first-ever headlining tour

Called The Great Xscape Tour, the R&B group will make a trek across North America, kicking things off on November 22 in Richmond, VA.

Monica and Tamar Braxton will join them as special guests.

In an official statement, the ladies of Xscape say, “You asked for it! We had so much fun with y’all this summer that we decided to bring the party to cities across the U.S.”

They continue: “We decided to do something very special and have our good friends Monica and Tamar Braxton join us! We are beyond excited to have them out with us for the ultimate girls night out show! This is the tour we’ve always wanted to do and we can’t wait to see you there!”

Xscape shocked fans in February by announcing that they were officially reuniting.

Since then, in addition to the Essence Festival in New Orleans, they’ve performed on this year’s BET Awards and appeared onstage for two sold-out shows in Detroit.

Their last studio album, titled Traces of My Lipstick, was released in 1998.

In light of their comeback, Xscape have also teamed up with Love & Hip Hop franchise producer Mona Scott-Young to develop a docu-series titled Xscape: Still Kickin It.

That’s set to air soon on Bravo.

Tickets for certain dates of The Great Xscape Tour go on sale Friday, September 22.
