ABC/Randy HolmesSZA has been ordered by her own boss to focus on her health, even if that means missing a few tour dates.
The “Broken Clocks” singer — who’s been on the road for the first-ever Top Dawg Entertainment: The Championship tour — is ill.
As a result, she’s been pulled from the tour for several days.
“I got some bad news. I have to take SZA off for a few days on the tour. Her vocal chords [sic] are swollen and she have [sic] to rest her voice to prevent any permanent damage,” writes TDE founder Top Dawg on Twitter.
He continues, “We [sic] been monitoring her close and this is the reason she missed the Arizona and New Mexico dates. She’ll see the doctor again in a few days and I’ll update you guys on her status. As for the dates she missed, we’ll figure out a way to make it up to you guys.”
Stay tuned to see when SZA will return to the TDE tour stage after she’s feeling better.
Top Dawg Entertainment’s Championship Tour kicked off May 4 in Vancouver.
The tour continues through June 16, where it wraps up in Pittsburgh, PA.
SZA’s label mates Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, SiR, Ab-Soul and Lance Skiiiwalker are also on the bill.
