Sue KwonTwo generations of female R&B stars will come together October 16, as Ms. Lauryn Hill and H.E.R. do a one-night-only concert performance at L.A.’s legendary Hollywood Bowl, reports Billboard.
Hill has eight Grammys to her name, five of them from her landmark 1988 solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. H.E.R. was nominated for five Grammys earlier this year and won two, including Best R&B Album for her 2017 self-titled release.
Tickets for the team-up go on sale Friday at 12 p.m. PT. American Express cardholders can buy tickets now through Thursday at 10 p.m. local time.
Prior to that, fans have a chance to see H.E.R. perform in New York City’s Central Park on September 28 as part of the annual Global Citizen Festival, along with Queen, Alicia Keys, French Montana, Pharrell Williams and OneRepublic. She also has several nominations at the 2019 MTV VMAs, taking place August 26 in New Jersey.
