A Twitter war erupted over the weekend between rappers Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby, who collaborated on Tory Lanez’s new single, “SKAT.”

On Saturday, Megan tweeted, “Support me in private and publicly do something different…these industry men are very strange. This situation ain’t no damn ‘beef,’ and I really wish people would stop downplaying it like it’s some internet [stuff] for likes and retweets.”

The tweet came after fans accused DaBaby of intentionally re-tweeting a tweet that read, “I guess @DaBabyDaBaby and @torylanez cool now bc [they] both shot somebody and don’t have to do no jail time.”

After blaming the retweet on a tech glitch, DaBaby directly addressed Megan, tweeting, “You done let these folks get the best of you thug. [I don’t] got no bad energy for ya. You know like I know I ain’t no ‘industry’ [dude], let em fool you into thinking that you trippin.’ Stand on what you stand on without feeling like I’m against ya. Stay focused, my g.”

As things escalated between the two, Megan’s boyfriend, Pardi Fontaine, jumped to her defense and addressed Megan’s frequent collaborator. “You a clown…doing clown…[stuff]. Then trying to backpedal,” Pardi tweeted to DaBaby. “That’s what it is. You don’t ever gotta address her again.”

DaBaby countered with, “You must not know bout me. You must not know about meeeh.”

As previously reported, Tory Lanez is the alleged shooter in an ongoing case stemming from when Megan Thee Stallion was shot in both of her feet while exiting a vehicle in Hollywood Hills last July. Last November, Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, pleaded not guilty to assault with a semiautomatic firearm,  personal use of a firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, all in relation to the shooting.
