Houston Family Says Bobbi Kristina Is Fighting for Her Life

by

Harpo/OWNBobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, is “fighting for her life,” following her hospitalization this past weekend, according to a new statement from the Houston family.

As previously reported, on Saturday, Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in a bathtub in a home in Roswell, Georgia, by her husband, Nick Gordon, and a friend.  She was revived by emergency personnel and taken to a local hospital.  There have since been numerous reports that her situation is quite serious.  In a statement, her father, Bobby Brown, asked for privacy, and added, “Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”

Now, the Houston family says in a statement, “Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family. As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support.”

Bobbi’s mother Whitney Houston was found dead in a hotel bathtub on February 11, 2012, in Beverly Hills. It was ruled that Whitney accidentally drowned, with heart disease and cocaine use listed as contributing factors in her death.
