ICYMI: Ledisi, SZA, India.Arie and more perform at this year’s Black Girls Rock!

Courtesy of BETThis year’s Black Girls Rock! broadcast rocked TV screens Tuesday night with a number of electrifying performances.

SZA opened with the show with her jam “Normal Girl” and Ledisi performed her hit track “High” for the first time on television, receiving a standing ovation. 

Multi-Grammy winner India.Arie serenaded the one and only Roberta Flack with the legendary singer’s 1972 hit “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.”  

Afterwards, India was joined by Tyrese, who recently underwent surgery, to perform Flack’s “Where Is The Love.”  

Anthony Hamilton also stormed the stage to perform his Grammy-nominated tune, “Best of Me” and gospel artist Tasha Cobbs Leonard brought praise blessings to the audience. 

A number of other celebrities also took the stage to give powerful speeches about the magic of Black girls, including Solange, Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Black Girls Rock! creator and DJ Beverly Bond.
