Is a Bobbi Kristina biopic on its way?

by

Christopher Polk/WireImageTV One is reportedly bringing the life of Bobbi Kristina Brown to the small screen.

According to the Jasmine Brand, the network is working on an upcoming biopic of the 22-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. Bobbi Kristina died on July 26, 2015, six months after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub and subsequently placed on life support.

A source tells the gossip site that “TV On feels like they can tell her story in a way that will resonate with her fans.”

The site also reports that casting has already started with actress-singer Demetria McKinney to play Whitney. The source says that Vivica A. Fox has also been cast in the film and is set to play Whitney’s sister, Pat Houston.

Over the weekend, McKinney seemingly confirmed the news by sharing an Instagram photo of herself seated with possibly two actors who will play the role of Bobbi Kristina and her boyfriend, Nick Gordon.

“Where do broken hearts go?” McKinney captioned the photo. “”#RIPWhitney #bobbikristina #nickgordon#WhitneyHouston #DemetriaMcKinney.”
