Kacie TomitaIt looks like a collaboration between Khalid and Fifth Harmony‘s Normani Kordei could be in the works sooner than fans may expect.
Khalid recently told MTV News that he would “love to [collaborate],” adding, “The chemistry is there.”
That prompted Normani to retweet the article, writing, “I freaking love everything about this. @thegreatkhalid you inspire so many individuals including myself. LOVE YOU TONS sweet human.”
Normani’s message has received over 19,000 Twitter likes since it was posted this Monday.
Khalid responded with a tweet of his own, saying, “Love you! I’ll see you soon,” adding a heart emoji.
The duo, who are indeed friends, appeared together in Khalid’s “Young Dumb & Broke” music video as prom king and prom queen.
Khalid and Normani, with the rest of her Fifth Harmony group mates, are both performing this Sunday, August 27 at the MTV Video Music Awards — but not together.
Fifth Harmony will team with Gucci Mane for their current hit “Down,” while Khalid will duet with Logic on his latest single, “1-800-273-8255.”
The VMAs air live from Inglewood, California at 8 p.m. ET.
