It’s time for me to put a lot of energy in work: Keyshia Cole is working hard and moving on in the new year

by

ABC/Randy HolmesKeyshia Cole is known for pouring her heart out through her music and showing her authentic self on reality television.

And with Valentine’s Day already come and gone, the vocalist says that it’s time for her to focus more on work and all of the exciting new music she has in store for fans.

“Well, Valentine’s Day was a lonely time. But, I had a lot of time to reflect as well. So, I didn’t really, I didn’t really stress about it. I have a lot of things coming up, to prepare for mentally, and so, I’m OK with it. It’s time for me to put a lot of energy in work and that’s what I’m trying to do right now,” she tells ABC Radio.

Of course, Keyshia has been working hard in the studio on her forthcoming album, 11:11 Reset, slated to arrive later this year.

Her latest track, “You,” which is the first single from the studio project, features guest vocals from French Montana and Remy Ma, both of whom, according to Keyshia, were a dream to work with.

“It was good. I wasn’t in the studio with either of them though. They sent it, I believe from New York. But it was automatic. Just called them up and they showed a lot of love and just made sure that it got done. When I heard both of their verses I was like “yeah, this is, this is it, this is fire.” I love both, so it was a beautiful process,” she says.
