Atlantic RecordsJanelle Monae has revealed the release date for her third album, Dirty Computer.
The singer/actress will drop the CD on April 27, and it is now available for pre-order. Monae previously released a futuristic, sci-fi trailer featuring Creed actress Tessa Thompson.
Monae is releasing a narrative film with the album, and calls the project an “Emotion Picture.” She released two singles and music videos today, “Make Me Feel” and “Django Jane.”
Thompson joins her in the “Make Me Feel” video which is set in a 1980s themed dance club. In “Django Jane,” Monae sits on a throne surrounded by women as she raps a tribute to ‘Black Girl Magic.”
Dirty Computer is the follow-up to Monae’s 2013 CD, The Electric Lady.
