Janet Jackson has recruited J. Cole  for a new version of her sultry new single, “No Sleeep,” which will appear on her upcoming comeback album.

Billboard has learned the entertainers recorded the new tune in a Los Angeles recording studio two weeks ago, which may also explain Janet’s appearance at his Los Angeles show on Sunday at Staples Center.

Although the song has leaked online, the new version will debut on Adult R&B format, as well as Hot R&B and Rhythmic radio.

Janet’s longtime collaborator Jimmy Jam, who co-produced the song with Terry Lewis, thanked fans for their positive feedback on the revamped mix. “Wow! Can’t believe the love for the album version of @JanetJackson @JColeNC “NoSleeep”! #DontCallItARemix,” he wrote.

Janet couldn’t agree more. “Thanks, Jimmy. You took the words right out of my mouth. Enjoy!” she replied.

Meanwhile, Janet’s solo version of the song has climbed to number 5 on Billboard’s Adult R&B airplay chart, marking her first top-five hit on that chart in 11 years.
