While on her current State of the World tour, no less a star than Janet Jackson danced along to “Bodak Yellow” as part of her performance of her 1986 hit “What Have You Done For Me Lately.”
Cardi posted a video of Janet’s performance on Twitter and wrote, “The type of s*** you can only dream of. Have to thank the Queen Janet Jackson for showing BODAK YELLOW LOVE!!”
Cardi’s song “Bodak Yellow” is currently at the #2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She’s also one of the leading nominees for this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards, with nine nominations gained in total.
The BET Hip Hop Awards air October 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
