2018 Parkwood EntertainmentJAY-Z and Beyonce made dreams come true for a Florida high school student this week — first with VIP tickets to their On The Run 2 tour, and then with a $100,000 college scholarship.

17-year old Keshawn Morgan and a few of his friends received the free tickets from the Boys & Girls Club of America. As he was attending the concert — his first ever — Wednesday at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, he heard opening act DJ Khaled announce that Bey and Jay had chosen him for the scholarship.

“I really couldn’t believe it,” Morgan tells the Orlando Sentinel. “I couldn’t even like put it in words. It was crazy.”

The Evans High School student has Harvard University on his wish list, as well as two famed historically black institutions: Howard University and Morehouse College.

“It’s like a big weight lifted off my shoulders,” Morgan says of the scholarship. “ Not just my shoulders but my mom’s shoulders and my dad’s.”

Beyoncé and JAY-Z are awarding $100,000 scholarships to high-school seniors in 11 cities during the On The Run II tour: Orlando, Atlanta, Miami, Arlington, New Orleans, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Clara and Seattle.

The Boys & Girls Club of America selects the winners.
