Last month, Jennifer Hudson released a new track called “Walk It Out,” featuring Timbaland, from her upcoming third album. Now, the diva has returned to her hometown of Chicago to film its accompanying video.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the upcoming visual was shot in Wicker Park on Friday. Camera crews also were on location at the nearby Art + Science Salon.
Prior to filming, Hudson shared a picture on Instagram in which she is seen posing in a dance studio. “Getting ready to walk it out in this video shoot for yal tomorrow” she wrote in the caption. “Still excited to shoot in my city! Yep, southside of jennifa.”
The song was penned by Lyrica Anderson and is the second single from her 1970s-inspired album, which boasts contributions from Pharrell Williams, Babyface and R. Kelly. The set is expected to arrive later this year.
