So So Def RecordsJermaine Dupri is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his So So Def Records label with the So So Def Family tour, kicking off in October.
“This going to be the biggest love vibe party that you’ve ever been to,” Dupri said in a video on Twitter.“I promise you.”
The So So Def CULTURAL CURREN$Y TOUR will feature Xscape, Da Brat, Jagged Edge, Bow Wow, Anthony Hamilton, Bone Crusher, Youngbloodz, Dem Franchize Boyz, J-Kwon, and Dupri.
The tour kicks off October 14 in Washington, D.C. and will consist of eleven concerts, wrapping up November 2 in Los Angeles. Dates also include shows in Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, and New York City. Tickets will go on sale Friday, August 3 via Ticketmaster.
Dupri, who was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in June, recently released the Jermaine Dupri Presents So So Def 25 compilation. It includes Da Brat’s “Funkdafied”, Xscape’s “Just Kickin’ It”, Dupri’s hit “Money Aint A Thang” featuring JAY-Z and many more.
