“When I heard the first the first couple of lines of ‘Fools Gold’ I was like, ‘I love this song.’ what it needed from me was a simple bridge, so my pen came to play but overall this is Sir Darryl Farris,” Scott explains.  “He gave me a beautiful song and something that I know is true, you know, that’s a rare bird.”

After noting that “it’s hard to find a [good] songwriter,” Jill adds, “I think a lot of artists allow songwriters to write things that are cool, good songs but if its not for you, then it doesn’t make a difference. So we found a good marriage.”

“Fool’s Gold” currently sits at number seven on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart.

In related news, Jill’s scheduled to continue her tour in Australia and New Zealand in October.
