John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, H.E.R. & more to honor Aretha Franklin at Grammy ‘Queen of Soul’ celebration

The Recording Academy and Clive Davis are set to honor the legendary career of Aretha Franklin this weekend with their special broadcast of Aretha! A GRAMMY Celebration for the Queen of Soul.  

The tribute, recorded in January, includes an all-star lineup of performances and appearances by John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, H.E.R., Chloe X Halle and more.

Additional performers include Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, Alessia Cara, Brandi Carlile, Kelly Clarkson, Common, Celine Dion, Fantasia, Alicia Keys, Patti LaBelle, Janelle Monáe, Smokey Robinson, SZA, Rob Thomas and BeBe Winans.

Actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry hosts the unforgettable night of song and dance, honoring the iconic Franklin.

The special’s most talked-about moments are sure to include Hudson’s electrifying rendition of “Think,” Keys singing “Day Dreaming,”  Celine belting out Aretha’s rendition of Sam Cooke‘s “A Change Is Gonna Come,” Patti doing “Call Me,” and H.E.R.’s modern-day twist on “I Say a Little Prayer.”

Aretha! A Grammy Celebration for the Queen of Soul, airs Sunday, March 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
