Called “Love Me Now,” it’s from John’s upcoming album, Darkness and Light. In a statement, the Oscar-winner says, “‘Love Me Now’ is all about living and loving to the fullest, no matter what tomorrow may bring. I’m so excited to finally share music from my new album! I’ve put a lot of love and energy into making this album special. I hope my fans can feel it.”
John debuted the upbeat song on Facebook Live Thursday.
As previously reported, John will head back to his alma mater this Sunday — Springfield North High School in Springfield, Illinois — for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the school’s new John Legend Theater. The singer raised $500,000 for the renovated, $2.5-million venue.
