Following J. Cole‘s performance at Queens College on Monday, Janelle Monae is next in line for VH1’s annual Super Bowl Blitz concert series, dubbed the “Super Bowl Blitz: Six Nights + Six Concerts,” leading up to Sunday’s Super Bowl game.
The network has announced that Big Boi from Outkast is scheduled to join Monae tonight, January 28 for a major performance at Lehman College in Bronx, New York. The singer is expected to play her earlier hit single, “Tightrope,” as well as “Dance Apocalyptic,” “Q.U.E.E.N.,” “Electric Lady” and “Come Alive (the War of the Roses).“
“Super excited about our Super Bowl @VH1 hour long set,” Janelle tweeted. Their upcoming showcase is slated to air on VH1 beginning at 11 p.m. ET/PT.
Viewers can also anticipate Nelly and Dougie Fresh to join TLC on Thursday, Jan. 30 at the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan.
