Johnny Nunez/Getty ImagesTeyana Taylor whipped her fans into a frenzy Wednesday night in San Francisco, first with a surprise appearance by Kanye West, and then with a tribute to Colin Kaepernick.

Kanye, who produced Taylor’s latest album, K.T.S.E, joined her onstage at the Regency Ballroom to perform their collabo “Hurry,” according to Billboard.

West also tweeted a video of Taylor on stage with her daughter Junie, while a photo of Kapernick with his fist in the air was projected on a screen behind her. Taylor then commanded the crowd to collectively take a knee and thrust their fists into the air.

“Put your fist up for Colin Kaepernick right now,” she said. “Leave your fist up and we gonna sing this song for everybody who turned their back on Colin Kaepernick.” The 27-year old singer from New York City then performed “Rose In Harlem” from K.T.S.E.

Taylor, who left her tour with Jeremih after claiming she was “extremely mistreated,” will continue her solo tour Friday night in Seattle.

Kaepernick’s Nike “Just Do It” 30th anniversary commercial, featuring LeBron James and Serena Williams, will premiere tonight during the NFL season opening game between the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles and the Atlanta Falcons on NBC.

The controversial ad campaign has inspired some people who are upset about Kaepernick’s taking a knee in protest of the National Anthem to destroy their Nike gear and swear off the brand forever.  It’s inspired others to go out and buy Nike gear.
