After blasting Kim Kardashian on Instagram, Kanye West says in a new court filing that his social media posts shouldn’t be used against him in their divorce battle, according to Billboard.

Yeezy was responding to his estranged wife’s claims in court filings that his Instagram posts caused her “emotional distress.”

Kardashian wrote, “Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private family matters and co-parenting on social media which has created emotional distress. I believe that the court terminating our marital status will help Kanye to accept that our marital relationship is over and to move forward on a better path which will assist us in peacefully co-parenting our children.”

Yeezy has made numerous accusations on social media, including accusing Kim of kidnapping their daughter, Chicago, and declaring that Kim believes he ordered a hit on her.

In his court documents, West says Kim can’t prove he wrote the now-deleted posts criticizing her and her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson. His legal team argues that his social media comments are hearsay and should not be admissible in court.

On Wednesday, a judge will decide during a hearing whether to grant Kardashian’s request to end her marriage to Kanye. West recently filed an opposition to Kim’s request to be declared legally single, stating that it should be denied without prejudice so that Kim can refile it with his “corrections and requested conditions.”
