Kehlani realized nothing will be “yours again,” sharing an all-too-relatable moment for parents at home with toddlers.

The R&B singer shared a video on Instagram of her adorable one-year-old daughter Adeya Nomi, who became quite thirsty at the mere sight of her mom drinking water.

Adeya is a feisty cutie pie trying to take back the bottle, each time Kehlani attempts to drink from it herself.

“They tell you once you have children nothing is ever just yours again and never once did they lie,” she captioned the video. “This is harassment.”

Kehlani is on a high right now after her latest album IT WAS GOOD UNTIL IT WASN’T claimed the number two spot on Billboard 200. The album features the quarantine singles “Toxic,” “Everybody Business” and “F&MU.

She calls it her “most mature body of work. It’s been praised for its “super honest” lyrics and playful melodies, all inspired by her role as a woman and mother.

“When you’re a musician, you come from real experience,” Kehlani said in a press release. “No matter what the experience is, it’s going to transfer to the music. Having a baby helped me be a lot more womanly and ‘Adult.'”

“The music is more meaningful,” she continued. “My daughter is the biggest indirect influence on everything I do.

“If it sounds grown-up, it’s because of her,” she concluded.
