Wilson headlined the Forever Charlie tour featuring Kem and Joe, and they sold out arenas across the country. However, Kem was unsure at first that they would be successful playing such large venues.

“It’s really kind of unprecedented for artists of our stature, R&B artists, to be playing arenas,” he tells RollingOut.com. “It was a great experience. And you know, honestly, I was skeptical at first because what we were setting out to do was ambitious. But you know, as with life, the greater the risk, the greater the reward.”

Now Kem is headlining his own Promise to Love tour which was originally scheduled to feature Tamar Braxton. However when illness caused her to cancel, she was replaced by several artists, including Jazmine Sullivan, Marsha Ambrosius and Avant.
