For over two decades, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds has written and performed some of the greatest love songs, earning him ten Grammy awards so far. Now, the R&B veteran will be honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced Babyface will receive become the 2,509th star on Hollywood Boulevard this Thursday. In the announcement, organizers said Edmonds is “an accomplished artist and his work footprints are all over the work of many of today’s artists and major hit songs.”
The ceremony, which takes place at 11:30 a.m. PT, will include guest speakers Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Antonio “L.A.” Reid, and Usher. You can watch a live stream of the event on WalkOfFame.com.
In other news, Babyface tweeted that he’is scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to perform his new single, “Hurt You,” with Toni Braxton on Tuesday night at 11:35 p.m. ET. The song is off their joint album, Love, Marriage & Divorce, due out December 3 on Motown Records.
