Lede CompanyKid Cudi has released a new video for his latest Man on the Moon III: The Chosen track, “Heaven on Earth.“
The Nabil-directed visual picks up where the rapper’s last video, “She Knows This,” left off last week, with Cudi having an out-of-body experience after being saved from nearly drowning in a pool.
As paramedics fish him, unconscious, out of the water and rush him to the hospital, it’s revealed that Cudi’s drunk driving incident from the previous video never happened, as his car is found parked in the garage.
Cudi’s spirit pops in and out of his body, rapping as the ambulance swerves between lanes on an empty highway. The video ends with the ambulance and two police cars flipping over on the interstate and Cudi’s spirit walking away in a perfectly tailored suit, untouched.
“She Knows This” and “Heaven on Earth” both features clips of Cudi watching the 2006 film The Pursuit of Happyness, starring Will and Jaden Smith. Both videos are part of YouTube Music’s Artist Spotlight Stories series as part one and two of Cudi’s short film, The Rager, The Menace.
Cudi’s seventh studio album, Man on the Moon III: The Chosen, is out now, boasting features from British rapper Skepta, Phoebe Bridgers, Trippie Redd, and a posthumous verse from late Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke.
