Paras Griffin/Getty ImagesKim Burrell‘s recent controversial statements have cost her another gig. The gospel singer’s radio show, “Bridging the Gap,” has been cut from Texas Southern University’s KTSU-FM programming schedule.

“The Kim Burrell show is no longer airing as part of KTSU Radio programming,” a representative of the university confirmed to ABC Radio.

The decision from the Houston-based station was made following Burrell’s anti-gay comments, which went viral last week.  This led to social media outrage, along with condemnation from a number of celebrities including Janelle MonáeQuestlove and Pharrell Williams.

Burrell was scheduled to perform the Hidden Figures movie song “I See a Victory,” with Williams during Thursday’s airing of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, but the appearance was cancelled by DeGeneres.

As the daytime host explained on her show, she didn’t want to give the entertainer a platform after the “not nice things” she said about homosexuals.
