After recording at the legendary Troubadour club in Los Angeles, California, Lalah Hathaway has finally released her first live album, Lalah Hathaway Live.
“So many years of dreaming…and the moment has arrived,” Lalah says in a statement about the album’s release. “I am beyond excited!”
Her disc was recorded during two sold-out concert performances back in April at same venue where her father, soul singer Donny Hathaway, recorded half of his classic 1972 offering, Live.
Lalah Hathaway Live, her seventh album, includes “Little Ghetto Boy,” and a rendition of Anita Baker’s hit, “Angel.”
