Leslie Jones To Host Reboot of ‘Supermarket Sweep’!

by

Hold the the phone!  Just about a week after comedienne/actress Leslie Jones announced that she’s leaving Saturday Night (SNL) to pursue other projects comes more details about at least one of those new gigs.

Jones is all set to executive produce and host a reboot of a games show classic from the mid-60s.

If you don’t remember “Supermarket Sweep,” your mom,  pops or grands sure will?

The fun, fast-paced grocery shopping competitions first ran on ABC from 1965 to 1967.   It featured contestants as they raced through the aisles of a grocery store trying to snatch up all that they could into their shopping carts.  Of course contestants were always gunning for the most expensive stuff on the shelves.

It was always a fan favorite, and with Jones being part of the new series, it’s sure to be a hoot!
There’s no word on and air date yet.
