Lil Baby says he’s done with paid features but he’d be up for one with Ciara

by

Kenneth CapelloRapper Lil Baby gave viewers an electrifying performance of his smash single, “Emotionally Scarred,” at the  American Music Awards Sunday night.

Speaking with reporters backstage, the Atlanta rapper explained his viral tweet, in which he said he was done doing features with other artists.

“See now on that subject, it was more like no more paid features because I’m an artist that if they got the budget, I’ll do a song with anybody,” said Baby.

While he said he’s “backing off” from doing collaborations for the moment, Lil Baby’s definitely up for future collaborative performances, such as at next years AMAs. He also said he’s up for a collaboration with fellow Atlanta native and Grammy-winning R&B singer Ciara

“I just seen Ciara, she’s from Atlanta so that would definitely be dope,” said Lil Baby.

Lil Baby’s currently in album mode and working on the follow-up to his double-platinum album, My Turn, which ruled the Billboard 200 albums chart for more than a month, landing one of this year’s biggest-streaming releases.  Setting the tone for next year, Baby says fans “can expect a lot” from him in 2021.

“My goal is always to go harder so 2021 should be a better year than 2020,” he promised.
