by

ABC/Craig SjodinStevie Wonder is throwing a party in London, and Lionel Richie‘s on the guest list.

Stevie will take the stage July 6 in London’s famed Hyde Park, as part of the year’s British Summer Time Festival. In an Instagram announcement, he says, “I wanna personally invite you to my party. It’s the Stevie Wonder Song Party, celebrating life, love and music.”

Lionel is billed as a “very special guest” on the bill. The two men are, of course, longtime pals and have worked together many times over the years, including on the landmark charity song “We Are the World.”

Tickets go on sale this Friday. Other artists who’ll be performing at this year’s British Summer Time Festival, which takes place over a number of weekends, include Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, British alt-rock band Florence + the Machine, and U.K. superstar Robbie Williams.

As previously reported, Lionel will launch his Hello tour in May, while Stevie will be playing a benefit concert June 24 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.
