Lizzo, H.E.R., Lil Nas X receive major nominations at this year’s Grammys

Atlantic RecordsLizzo, Lil Nas X, H.E.R. and Michelle Obama are some of the nominees for this year’s Grammys.

First-time nominee Lizzo takes the top spot with eight, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist. Lil Nas X, who landed on the top of the Billboard charts this year with his hit song “Old Town Road,” follows closely behind with six nominations, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year and, of course, Best New Artist.

Meanwhile, all eyes will on H.E.R., who is again nominated for Best R&B Performance — this time for her song “Could’ve Been,” featuring Bryson Tiller.

Other notables include: Beyoncé for Best Music Film, for her Netflix Coachella docuseries HomecomingKirk Franklin for Best Gospel album; and Michelle Obama for Best Spoken Word album for her memoir, Becoming.

Grammy winners will be revealed on Sunday, January 26, live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on CBS. For the full list of nominees, go to Grammy.com.
