Lizzo, H.E.R., Lionel Richie and The Isley Brothers among 2020 New Orleans Jazz Fest headliners

Courtesy of New Orleans Jazz & Heritage FestivalThe lineup for the 2020 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has been unveiled, with a wide range of stars from Lizzo to The Isley Brothers set to headline this year’s extravaganza, which takes place April 23 to April 26 and April 30 to May 3.

Lizzo, who leads all artists with eight Grammy nominations, will headline on Saturday May 2, along with The Isleys.

The festival will close on Sunday May 3 with two legendary bands: Kool & the Gang, and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly.

As always, the festival is a gumbo of jazz and various music styles, including R&B from H.E.R. on April 25, Erykah Badu on April 26, Anthony Hamilton on April 24, and PJ Morton on May 2. There’s also hip-hop flava with Wu-Tang Clan on May 1, reggaeton from Nicky Jam on May 2, and classic dance music played by Nile Rodgers & CHIC on opening day, April 23,

Lionel Richie, who was one of the headliners in 2018, will return on May 1.

Of course, there will be plenty of New Orleans music provided by artists from The Big Easy, including brothers Aaron and Cyril Neville, plus Jon BatisteBig Freedia, and Irma Thomas.
