by

ABC/Donna SvennevikMariah Carey has officially signed a new deal with Epic Records, after departing Def Jam.

According to Billboard, the singer’s multi-album deal has reunited her with Antonio “L.A.” Reid, who’s currently CEO and chairman of Epic, but worked at Def Jam when that label released Mariah’s 2005 smash, The Emancipation of Mimi.

The first album under the new deal will be a greatest hits collection, which will coincide with Mariah’s upcoming Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The set, titled #1’s,  will include 18 of her biggest hits.  We may also get new duets of her timeless songs.

While Mariah prepares for her highly-anticipated residency, scheduled to kick off May 6, sources tell Billboard she’s already recording new music for her fifteenth studio effort in Los Angeles.
