Marines: Cali Shooter Has No Record of PTSD

by

(KRNB) – The U.S. Marines say there are no records that former enlistee, Ian Long – who killed 12 people in a country music bar last week – had ever reached out for treatment of “severe PTSD,”  according to and exclusive report by TMZ.com

After the deadly mass shooting in Thousand Oaks, California Wednesday,  former neighbors and friends of the gunman told authorities that he had a long history of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.   Long served in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011 and  in Hawaii in 2013 before leaving the service.

A spokesman with Veteran’s Affairs reportedly said that Long never enrolled in VA heathcare at any time.

Long was killed by police during his rampage, but TMZ reports that during the shooting he posted to social media, writing, “I hope people call me insane .. wouldn’t that just be a big ball of irony?”
