Mary J. Blige, Fantasia & Ledisi Part of BET Honors Lineup

Kevin Winter/Getty ImagesBET Networks has announced that Mary J. Blige, Fantasia, Ledisi, Jussie Smollet, V. Bozeman, Leon Bridges, Taraji P. Henson and The Deele have been added to the lineup of presenters and performers for this year’s BET Honors, which take place at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. this Saturday, January 23.

The two-hour special celebrates the outstanding achievements of extraordinary leaders and recognizes trailblazers in art, music, theater, education, technology and business.  Bridges, Fantasia, Ledisi, Jussie and The Deele will all take the stage to perform at the event, while Mary and Taraji will present.

Hosted by Arsenio Hall, this year’s honorees are filmmaker Lee Daniels, financial expert Mellody Hobson, former Attorney General Eric H. Holder, music executive Antonio “L.A.” Reid, and legendary singer Patti LaBelle.

As part of its commitment to the community, BET is making a limited number of tickets to the show available for purchase with all proceeds benefiting My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, an initiative to help eliminate gaps in opportunity and achievement for boys and young men of color.

Several community events for young men and boys in Washington, D.C. will be presented in the days leading up to The BET Honors, including an educational panel at The White House.

The BET Honors will be recorded for broadcast on Tuesday, February 23, at 8:00 pm.
