Massive U.S. Protests Raise Fears of New Coronavirus Outbreaks

by

Many across the U.S. were in the streets this weekend protesting the death of George Floyd. Due to the protests, health experts fear an uptick in coronavirus cases. The fear is people with no symptoms who may have been out in the crowds, close to others all while not wearing a mask. Even if you were wearing a mask, that does not guarantee protection either. The CDC says cloth masks keep infected people from spreading the virus but are not designed to protect wearers from getting it. More than 6 million infections have been reported with nearly 370,000 deaths.

Did the fear of the coronavirus keep you from protesting this weekend?
