Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby lead the 2021 BET Awards nominations

Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby lead the way with seven nominations each at the 2021 BET Awards. 

Next month’s ceremony is planning to return with a live show and a vaccinated audience after both rappers performed from separate locations at last year’s virtual awards show.

Megan’s Good News and DaBaby’s Blame It On Baby are both up for Album of the Year against Nas‘ King’s DiseaseThe Weeknd‘s After Hours, and Chloe x Halle‘s Ungodly Hour.

Cardi B and Drake are right behind with five nominations each. Cardi grabbed two nominations in the Video of the Year category for “UP” and “WAP,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. “WAP” is also up for Best Collaboration and Viewer’s Choice Award. 

Meanwhile, Drake has two Viewer’s Choice Award nominations, for “Laugh Now Cry Later,” with Lil Durk, and DJKhaled‘s “Popstar.”

For Best Actress, Andra Day is up against Zendaya, Viola Davis, Angela Bassett, Issa Rae and Jurnee Smollett.

Rapper Jack Harlow is up for Best Male Hip Hop Artist and Best Collaboration, for the “What’s Poppin'” remix featuring DaBaby, Tory Lanez and Lil Wayne

For Best New Artist, Harlow is up against Flo Milli, Giveon, Pooh Shiesty, and Queen of the Souf rapper Latto, formerly known as Mulatto
