Carmen Mandato/Getty ImagesFans are still having a hot girl summer listening to Megan Thee Stallion‘s Fever mixtape, but many have been wondering when we’ll get new music from her.

A #freemegan campaign is underway now that he Houston Hottie hopped on Instagram live to let people know her record label, 1501, won’t allow her to release any new music after she attempted to renegotiate contract.

“Soon as I said, ‘I want to renegotiate my contract,’ everything went left. It all went bad. It all went left. So now they tellin’ a b***h she can’t drop no music. It’s really just, like, a greedy game,” said Megan in a post captured by The Shade Room.

Megan also signed a management deal with Roc Nation, who brought to her attention some discrepancies in her contract with 1501. She said when she originally signed it she was only 20 years old and didn’t understand the terms in the contract, although she didn’t explain specifically what those terms were.

Many asked during her Instagram live session why Megan hadn’t read her contracts or hired lawyers at the time, but she says its a bit more complicated than that.

“It’s not that I literally didn’t read it. It’s that I didn’t understand some of the verbiage at the time and now that I do I just want it corrected,” she shared on Twitter.

Megan was hoping to release her debut album, Suga, on May 6, to honor her mother’s birthday.
