Beyonce and Kelly Rowland are featured on Michelle Williams’ new song, “Say Yes,” making it an unofficial Destiny’s Child reunion single. Williams says that’s a decision they all made when the others first heard the song.
Michelle told Us Weekly at the Think Like A Man Too premiere in Los Angeles, “We always let each other listen to our music in advance. They heard ‘Say Yes’ and were like, ‘Right now is the time for Destiny’s Child to make a single.’ The process was surprisingly simple, in fact. No red tape, none of that.”
Michelle adds, “It was so much fun. No matter what, with our three voices together, there’s no harmony like that. That blend that we [have]… there’s something spiritual about it.”
Destiny’s Child sang together live at the 2013 Super Bowl in New Orleans when Williams and Rowland were special guests for Beyonce’s halftime show. “Say Yes” is from Williams’ third solo album, Journey to Freedom, due to be released in September.
