ABC NewsMonica Brown has a new and impressive title to add her resume. The Grammy-winning singer is now an honorary doctor.
In a new Instagram post, the “Boy Is Mine” singer shared the news that she is now “Dr. Monica Denise Brown.”
“A Moment of Complete Gratefulness I received an Honorary Doctrine from Global International Alliance,” she wrote, sharing a photo of her holding her degree.
“This Doctrine acknowledges my Humanitarian Efforts & that means a tremendous amount to me especially since establishing @thebehumanfoundation … Thank you for thinking of & acknowledging me!”
The singer than shared another post, showing an up close photo of her degree with an encouraging message.
“The Works we do should not only make us better, but those amongst us should become better as well!!,” Brown wrote.
Then in a final post, Brown shared a photo of her with her mother and a special message.
“If I’m a reflection of you, I can always be proud of what I see!! Momma , I Love You!! Thank you for standing for me,” Monica wrote, adding a heart emoji.
“My Mom believed that because I loved children & I constantly signed my name that I would be a pediatrician!! This is as close as I’ve come to being Dr.Monica,” she continued. “LOL…. I’m happy it was for the good I’ve done outside of music that I received this honor…”
